I have no grand plan when I begin a piece. A choice of materials is made at the start, but the process itself is not a series of planned steps. It is always a new experience - an exploration of the possibilities of the chosen material.
Ordinary daily experiences and my responses to those experiences enter the process. Sometime the process involves a search for solutions to problems that arise as I work.
